Dear fellow collectors,
I have made a significant find of 2 party and a NSV membership book, GPB citation and other paperwork from one person. I know that Klaus Butschek sold the matching GPB set last year to a collector in South Africa. :001_tt1:

I believe I crossed ways with a collector from South Africa once, but do not remember when and where. And maybe this was someone else altogether ?

In an effort to reunite what belongs together I'd like to ask for any assistance you may be able to provide. Would appreciate it very much !

Good luck!

Thank you, George. We chatted on the phone yesterday for almost half an hour. Common ground: Both of us would like to reunite what belongs together !

Thanks for joining. Hope you'll enjoy all the information on GPB's that can be found here.

Dear friends,

I realize that this comment is irrelevant to the GPB subject of this thread, but this is the ONLY thread on this site out of the numerous other ones that is still showing any activity whatsoever! What has happened to all of the members -- over 2,000 members per the summary figures at the bottom of the home page?!

So the badges are in Cape Town, my beloved Home town (ja right) and the Parteibücher are in Florida.. or wherever you hide out these days ‹(•¿•)›
Soooo, how does this actually work, when such an item has sisters and they find each other, does the owner of one, or the other, really try and milk every penny outta the item if the other party wants it really bad ? Or is it left up to <open offer> and acceptance as normal ?
Pork Rinds all round, on me !! if the deal goes through.

Right now we are stalled, but maybe we can get the ball rolling again. But it's not easy and will probably take an effort and some good will on both sides.

Ag, just chuck in a bag of Mielie-Pap and the oke from Kapstadt will pay your price. I used to not like to separate lots either, but the reality is that someone else will in time anyway, so we aint acting as Keepers of History at all, just brainwashing ourselves :) i say Go for it, squeeze every cent outta the parteiausweise as possible. BUT, from the sound of that guys one post on this thread, it don't seem like he really wants the Docs at all, or at best wants them with 86% discount and free boerewors for a year. Fair play, not everyone wants to pay cash for docs, maybe he just collects the badges? I recon loads of "lots" have been separated and flung all over the globe like this before..

It's always said when things are split up. But in some cases Ican understand dealers also. My mate, who is a dealer, discoverd the nachlass of a bomber pilot. It includes so many awards with the proper documents (Honour goblet, DKiG) that the price will become incredible. And no much interested buyers can be found. :001_unsure:

What I do hate are guy's who rip period photo albums apart when they don't find immediatly a potential buyer for it

Regards, Wim :)

As could be expected, I believe in retrospect (refer to http://www.worldwarmilitaria.com/forum/showpost.php?p=54710&postcount=5), the reunion did not happen. My final response was: "I prefer keeping my groupings rather than being taken advantage of. Which leaves you with a nice matched pair of GPB's !"
