Hi Guys, in June this year I visited this museum in Austria. It is not that well known, however, it is STUNNING!
I only took a few pics as I really was overwelmed with the sheer amount of items on display. It is one man's collection. I have been to all the big museums in the UK and many in Normandy, Arnhem, etc. I think this one is really something special.
He must have had close to 1000 firearms on display. A K98 for each year of production. Pistols were displayed ten at a time on turn table style display racks which you could turn around to view. He also had lots of sectioned weapons on show.
Lots of vehicles, VW Type 82 Kublewagen (he started this up to show us and it fired up first time!) NSU Kettenkrad, Soviet T34/85 plus about 100 motorbikes, horse drawn stuff, halftracks, trucks, Jeeps, boats, etc..... More pics other than my few can be seen in the link:

If you have 3 million Euros going spare it could all be yours. To be honest, that is cheap. He would even be willing to rent out the Museum. He is now in his 60's and wishes to retire. He is also a farmer.
Outside is this crazy artwork made from K98 barrels and helmets!
The museum starts with pre war Austro - Hungarian uniforms and moves through time to the Bundesheer of the 1990's. The vast majority of the display are Third Reich in date.
Cheers, Ade
