Yes that dagger has seen some action but he looks just fine in that mixed display.

Nice display set up. I also like daggers that have some wear as they have a character of their own. No doubt mint pieces are beautiful to look at and command higher prices, but there is something about items with wear in a display that have a 'museum' feel to them, as a relic from this period in history.

Nice display set up. I also like daggers that have some wear as they have a character of their own. No doubt mint pieces are beautiful to look at and command higher prices, but there is something about items with wear in a display that have a 'museum' feel to them, as a relic from this period in history.

Scott, I love your SA. I know a lot of collectors only want the most mint examples, but that one speaks. I saw a photo once of several US troops playing with daggers while wearing various German caps and a helmet. You never know what those old peices did or how they were handled.

thanx Henry. this one 'spoke' to me as well.
i can remember when i was a kid in the 70's playing with the armbands and medals my grandfather brought back. when i'd visit him i'd have everything pinned to my shirt.
