View Full Version : Can anyone assist me in accessing some material at the New Zealand archives?

Hello from Canada. I would be looking for help from any individuals who live in Wellington, New Zealand who could assist me in getting information on a specific court martial from 1943 of a L.R. HALE 425696.

According to the archive's website this particular file can only be viewed in person at the Wellington, New Zealand archives.

Perhaps if someone is going down for some other research they would be so kind as to read up on this file and obtain some info on it?

I wish to ascertain that whether this is the same person at LYNE-HALE, an observer in the RAF who was involved in an air accident approaching Malta, May 8th, 1943.

Archives New Zealand is some what strict with there info, which is a real pain in the butt.

I live several hours from Wellington, but am planning on going down in the next couple of weeks, if things pan out ok

Have copied the info and will let you know, but I cant promise anything

Greetings from Montreal :) If you would be able to check out this lead I would be most grateful. I have had much success researching 272 squadron however I have found nothing on LYNE-HALE, not even his nationality. In your opinion would lyne-hale be a new zealand family name? It's a long shot but I would hope to contact family members for photos, letters, etc. Any help would be most appreciated. I have attached a list of other names from his squadron.
