Hi

I have two POW camp photographs that were loose in the back of an SS photo album.

It is interesting, as they are clearly professionally taken, a larger size format and wondered if they were sold or given to the POW's to send home perhaps.

I don't know which camp it is, so if anyone recognises it (I doubt it very much), then please let me know.

Raymond

Raymond:

The photos are curious because they are the same image; one being the reverse image of the other. Also they are cropped differently (or is that a result of your scanning and posting them?). Unfortunately, I do not see anything in either image that can be used to identify the correct image.

In your post, you wrote that the photos were of a German POW camp. Is that a camp run by Germans, or is it one in which the Germans are the POWs?

Although this image could certainly be from hundreds of different camps, the hillside topography is reminiscent of Nordhausen's Mittelbau-Dora where V-2s were assembled within the Kohnstein.
