This is a rare piece to find loose. I have had this for many years. It is RZM marked, however I can no longer read the maker without bending the pin & I don't want to do this.

A difficult item to find if you have one missing from your uniform. Here is an example of one mounted to the tab on the tunic of a prewar S A Feldherrnhalle Sturmfuhrer.

You have to give us some time to respond. There is not a paid staff of appraisers sitting by the computer awaiting new posts. That said, pictures of the back of the tabs would also be of assistance. The Feldherrnhalle rune is mounted upside down on your tab. Not a good starting point. It also appears to be slightlly thicker than known original examples.

From the new images, the tabs appear to be original period items. I would not suggest taking the device on and off the tabs as the pins will weaken and break.

They're usually RZM marked by M1/13 or something like that--I can't remember without checking. Can you post a larger photo of the reverse and obverse? It looks promising but it's really tough to tell from the photos. The Litze looks made up, and the pip is from a shoulderboard judging by the size, but with a closer shot of the fabric front and back at least the bodies might be okay. But not for FHH, as they used crimson rather than red. Staff would use red, but that's less likely.

It looks as though there is a very faint stamp , i cant read it though , not even with my magnifying glass. Anyway this is as close as i could get. Hope they are ok..?

I don't believe the posted FHH insignia is original.
All I have seen are RZM M1/13 marked and made of either CopAl or Aluminum with a silver coating.
I illustrate a loose piece I have that is made of the aluminum with a silver coating that is starting to lift away, leaving a bubbling visual effect.
I have been looking for a blank carmine tab to mount this device.

This device is still on the tunic. it is made of Cupal and holds it's silver-plate finsih much better. I believe it is earlier than the sluminum piece posted above.

I agree--the reverse shows the piece to have been cast, which originals never are. I've got one like Bob's of cupal with the same marking.
