I have many of the army parade buckles and all are aluminum. Did they ever make these out of steel such as this one? Is this the eagle that is known as the "bat wing fake"?

I have to admit that I don't know as much about two piece parade buckles as I wish I did .... but that said - I think it looks like a good one. Certainly not a batman / bat wing repro!
Hopefully more collectors can chime in on this one.
Cheers!

Aluminum and zinc/alloy buckles with 4 prongs I am aware of. I'll do a search for a steel version.
My zinc/alloy.

Thanks Joe. I have and had many of these buckles but none were ever made of steel! I have John Angolias buckle book but it doesn't say if these were ever made of steel?

Hi guys, the eagle on this buckle looks horrible but in fact it is an original one by Assmann.
