Belt Buckle Opinions / Input Please!

Looking for any information on this buckle. I know there are different materials for years of manufacture. This one is magnetic so I would assume steel with chrome / nickel plating? Would that be early or late? I believe M4/39 is for E W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, from what I could find.

Richard. I checked for your buckle in my book by John Angolia and yours is definately and Assmann buckle but does not mention whether this is an early or late buckle?

Yes...M4/39 is Assmann....They had quite a few different types of HJ buckles made. Makes it that much more fun to collect their buckles! ;)
