Sennin-bari for review

Here's the Sennin-bari that came with the Yosegaki flag. Can you please take a look and tell me whether you think this a genuine article?

Measurements are approximately 41 inches by 12 inches.

It looks like it has been folded horizonatlly before the writing dried totally as there are mirror images of some of the kanji.

I was told it contains the following translation:

To: Itou Younosuke
From: Japanese national defense women's association
Akita Prefecture Fujiki-village the seventh group
Inoru Buun chokyu=Prayer Good luck to you on the battlefield.
