I just found this tucked away in an old book. I have no idea where it came from, i sure as hell did`nt buy it, that`s certain, and judging from the book i found it in, it must have been sitting on my shelf for at least 5 years.
Anyone know if it`s a fake, modern Repro, or Original? (i know more about the mating habits of the earthworm than i do about cloth insignia)

Nobody ? Surprising ?? many folk on this Forum are quick to jump on threads and say Yay or Nay, (mind you, without backing up what they say though, or revealing how they came to their conclusion) Any thoughts on this one ? Modern Copy? Old Copy ? Period Piece? Anyone?

I have checked on every site i know that has these for sale, and this one looks the same, but, have i missed something? what should i be looking for? any clues?

hi jo
your luftwaffe style patch is very intresting looking in my honest opinion i think first off it was cut from a piece of cloth and shaped to the style of a luftwaffe patch we can see clearly where it was cut but what was it cut from i doubt a tunic perhaps equipment cover. thats the question now the machine sewn eagle looks like it could be real from the period . in my opinion again the white eagle on a coco brown color might indicate tropical use like grece or africa corps last in my opinion its not a recent copy is it real period made maybe it stands a good chance and jo its not over till the fat lady sings thanks for showing us guy best andy militarynut

Andy, here are some high Def. close ups. I just did the burn test, and it was Good.
What do you think i could ask for a piece like this. The measurements are exactly the same as for the Breast eagle. Eagle wing span from tip to tip 8,3 cms

Looks to be a foreign made luft tropical shirt eagle. Luft tropical isn't my area but I have seen some that are similar. Matt

Hi, it has characteristics that, IMO, make it a period original, trop shirt eagle.
