This tinnie can be found made by many different makers. Here are two from my collection.
Cheers, Ade.

Nice tinnies there Ade. I too have one of these, but it has no markings at the back. Does this make it a reproduction?

Hi Thomas, no I don't think a lack of makers mark would condem it out of hand.
Please show it to us.
Cheers, Ade.

Hello,
there was an extensive article about this tinny in the "Military Advisor"
(volume 19, number 4 from fall 2007),
written bij Wilhelm Saris and Mathieu de Wolf, assisted by Hans-Peter Lopatka
with about 21 pages. Many reverse were shown there.
The whole story about this tinny was told.

I will have to look that up. These tinnies are rather desirable. I am not sure if they have been faked yet, but I guess they have.
Martin, thanks for posting up the list. My eyes are getting bad and so I could not read it. Is it possible to make crop the page in half and post both halves?

wilhelm is "out of business" for a while.
He asked me to mention that in the article various fakes were shown,
one manufactured in the USA. one in Poland at least.
best regards

The two reproducions which I have in my collection.
The first is a Polish or eastern countries repro. Front and backside are shown.
The second I bought in the USA, but I'm not sure if this example has been made in the USA. Could be an Eastern countries repro badge too.

Hello Raymond,
Thanks for the welcome.
It's my pleasure to help.
Some different pin attachments form the Zimmermann tinnie. Collecting these tinnies is not only the different maker marks, but also different pin attachements. Or maker marks positioned at different places.

Gloerfeld and Wachtler tinnies.
Notice te waves at the bow. Gloerfeld has a lot of waves, Wachtler has less.

Here's a photograph the solid silver badge (Credit: Helmut Weitze).
Also a photo of the Gorch Fock in her glory days. At first it looks as if the Gorch Fock was used for the Seefahrt tinnie. But it isn't. For example there's no eagle at the bow.
If someone has other maker marks, which are not mentioned in the list please post them!
