Okinawa Museum - Okinawa

In 2007 during a 9 month deployment I was fortunate enough to go to Okinawa. During the few days there I went on a 1 day battlefield tour and a part of the tour was a visit to a small museum dedicated to the WW 2 battle. It is located inside a US Army base and so I believe it is only possible to visit it as part of a organised tour.

The small flag in the frame is just to show what the actual flag that is folded up in the cabinet looks like. It is the flag to indicate Admiral Ota's command.
