Can any of the experts in the identification of Luftwaffe aircraft shed any light as to whether this Bundesarchive photograph shows a Bf-110 C-4 varient?

Also, the partially obscured shiled looks to me as though it may be the NJG shield, any thoughts?

All help will be very well received.

Regards Richard.

Thanks for the link Jo, first glance seems like a very good source of information.

I may have to join their incumbant forum and ask the same question there however, fingers crossed, someone treading these boards may also be able to provide the answer.

Any help will be very well received.

Regards Richard.

The C-4 had greater protection for the pilot and gunner with increased armor plating and the C-4B had the new DB601N powerplants each developing 1200 bhp giving the C-4B a top speed of 350 mph.

Sorry that I can't comment as to whether your excellent image portrays that model.

Jo forum suggestion is a good one.
