This photo was taken when I was attached to the 11th Armored Cavalry, Second Army Area when they were located at Ft. Knox, Ky. That was before the gyroscoped with the 6th Cavalry in Germany and before the changed their crest. Here is a photo of my crest that I still have several of. How do I get in on this free lunch deal?

Hi Richard,
the camera looks like a Speed Graphic 4x5.I used to have one one of those myself back in the days when i was a photographer.
I use a lightweight Calumet monorail 4x5 camera these days, when i do take pictures.
Regards,Martin.

Actually, the camera is a Crown Graphic. I also used a Kodak Military Model PH-324 35mm camera, which I prefered because I could pop in 36 exposure rolls and just shoot away. With the 4x5 you had to use holders that only held two shots each or a 12 exposure film pack. With the 35mm you could carry a second one, also loaded with a 36 exposure roll so you could just switch cameras before reloading.
