GAU = Province. Shall we gather Gau tinnies here? I'll add what few I have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gau Thing = something like Province assemblage. According to the, New Cassell's German-English English-German dictionary.
Koblenz-Trier 22-23 Juni 1935.

Hi,
Here's a large 50mm tinnie, unsure if its really in the right thread, it certainly has Gau München stamped on it, but looking at the gear cog in the middle its possibly more connected to trade, handwork, industry. Its highly priced in Tieste's catalog.

Hummel,
Yes, I realize now you are right, the tinnie belongs in the "Kraft durch Freude" section, as there is one already posted on it - I ask the moderator Joe (I think) if its no great trouble to strike my original posting and these two subsequent posts in the interests of thread integrity and unnecessary thread clutter.

Here's one of my latest Gautag finds. It's Tieste Karlsruhe 37-01, valued by Tieste at 13,00 Euros. It is 2-3/16 inches (5.5 cm) tall.
I thought I posted this the other day, but could not find it. I must have messed up when I tried to post. :confused1:

Hello all!
I know this one is already posted (post #1), but this one is a different from the ones I have come across. It’s made of aluminum (quite heavy compared to the steel ones) and is maker marked, ENTW. R. Kaster Robinson. Looks to be cast, but writing is sharp and clear.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi Albion,
This badge I like VERY VERY much http://www.smileygarden.de/smilie/Schleifchen-Girls/smilie_girl_020.gif Its a gorgeous brosche for KdF-Betreuerinnen, Gau München-Oberbayern. Betreuerinnen, as in girls, women, promoting the Kraft durch Freude organisation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraft_durch_Freude). KdF has LOTS of pretty colorful badges. Check this thread (http://worldwarmilitaria.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3745) out!
Sincerely,
