9th SS Panzer Division "Hohenstaufen" cuff title

Hi Guys, a favourite item from my collection.

One of my big interests is the Battle of Arnhem, in which this division fought.

This title is cut down and bloodstained.....

This is in a friend's collection and believed to have belonged to SS-Sturmbannfuhrer Helmet Thole who commanded SS-Wirtschaftsbattalion 9 for most of the division's existence. In the large format book on this division (in French and German), there were only two commanding officers of that battalion. One was an SS-Sturmbannfuhrer and the replacement was an SS-Hauptsturmfuhrer. Helmet Thole had the War Merit Cross First Class with Swords and this tunic has loops for a single badge. It is not named; however, it is a strong probable.
