I have no doubt this is a para batch, but is it from WWII and is it british or from a Commonwealth country?
Kind regards
Erik

Hi Erik, bullion wire items can be very hard to date. I would say it was British made.

Cheers, Ade.

Hello Adrian
Can you say anything about how common these bullion wire wing are? I reckon they were only used by officers? How long was this model used after the war?
Kind regards
Erik

Hi Erik, bullion was for Officers and was worn on the dark blue full dress uniform or the red mess dress uniform. Both of these did not come out until after the war. But it is not unknown, but very rare, to see this type of bullion wing worn on Battledress by Officers in WW2.

This general type of wing is still worn today on dress uniforms.

Cheers, Ade.
