SS Sparbuch of Oberführer Karl-Heinz Bürger

I do not see very many of these and so I thought it would be worthwhile posting and some members may find it interesting.

I bought this at an auction and wanted it as it was an unusual item that are seldom seen.

Upon researching the Sparbuch, it was interesting to discover the following information.

Name: Bürger, Karl-Heinz
DOB: 16th February, 1904

SS Number: 156,309
Party Number: 68,902
Rank: Oberführer

Decorations & Awards:
EK I & II
APB
Blood Order
Golden Party Badge
NSDAP Long Service Awards

He was captured in Italy in May 1945 and later transferred to a POW camp in England.

I have not taken the research any further so I am not sure.

If any members have any additional information then it would be good to hear.

That is my main problem when I research items. I find out the information up to the end of the war, but in the majority of cases, I am left pondering what happened to these people post-war, if they are still alive etc.

Maybe that is just the way my mind works
