Hello!!! Is this Ek2 1870 original?

It's really impossible to tell from the pictures provided. We would need
larger, clear, in focus pictures of the front crown as well as the "1870"
date.

There is a well known fake that uses a similar date as yours. It also
has a very unique problem with the crown. Unfortunately I can not
make out the details in the one shown.

Pretty sure this is a "9th bead" fake. It is well aged and looks good
and will fool a lot of people but I personally would not go after this one.

The oversized 9th bead and undersized 5th bead are the give aways.
here are a couple examples--

Here are a couple close-up shots of the crown and date that may help
to illustrate what we were looking at.

The 9th bead is oversized and in most cases is worn smooth.
The 5th bead is undersized and slightly out of place.
The "8" in the date is a over/under style compared to others that are flat.

Note--The over/under style "8" does not indicate a cross is bad
however you will never find a 9th bead cross without this style of "8".
