Hi Guys, this is one of my Soviet steel helmets.
Nice condition and a good large size being a 3 (fits a size 60 head). Shells came in three sizes. Now getting hard to find. In reality these are much harder to find than a German helmet of the same vintage.
Dated 1941. LMK is a Leningrad makers mark.
The Red Army had a real problem early in the war to get their soldiers to wear the steel helmet. Many men considered it was un-manly or "sissy" to wear one. Strict orders were given to make them wear the helmet.
Cheers, Ade.
