Looks like an early variation of the mark..

On left another early mark,,,and right a 1940 and up mark along with th 'Ln' mark for high quality and finish.

Heres one my great uncle sent home. He at the time thought the eyes could actually be rubies [wishful thinking]..
The eyes were either a rose cut like Dave's or the smooth cabochon or unfaceted glass...

Dave, it looks like you got a real nice well worn ring there,,good catch...

Hi Dave

That is a fine catch you have there and it has some really nice wear to it.

Gaspare, your ring looks more like a pirate with one eye, and yes, more menacing:D

E. , There are a lot of this pattern around. It was a popular ring therefor one of the more common rings that ring collectors have and see.

Here are shots of the one Andy 'MilitaryNut' just picked up.. From the photos it looks good.

,,although the photos are not so good, you can see it also has the correct markings,,,and,, they are stamped in [correct], as opposed to cast in...

MilitaryNut,, please bring this to the SOS so I can take a look at it with my magic loop!:001_unsure::blink:,,,,,,Thanks ,G.
