Hi Everyone,

I'm afraid I don't know anything about Imperial awards. I guess the two medals showed are German because they were found together with Third Reich items. Only have this one horrible picture but I hope some of you guy's recognize them and also can put a certain value on them?

Regards, Wim :)

I'm not certain these are Imperial awards. i have never seen the medal or the ribbon type/colour before. Hopefully Don Doering will see this thread and chime in

Hi,

they are Belgium awards awarded since 1867, so called:
Burgerlijk Ereteken
Décoration Civique
which is the Civil Decoration. They are handed out for Long Service for a government job. There are versions handed out for courage, the ribbon changes (added yellow bands). Here is some info: http://www.geocities.com/abldepot2/BE-dc.html
Mine was (very) cheap (although that is a bronze one, yours look silver). Are there any markings?

Regards,
Michel

Michel,

Many thanks for your reply and that link. I don't know anything about them. A man found them, together with classic Second War German medals. I only have this scan. So I may assume they could be intact silvered? Because if they were heavy cleaned (like the TR-medals) I have to see a copper alloy base material? And the value can be very low? 10 or 15 € perhaps? Or less...

Regards, Wim :)
