Hello, all.....
Imperial has not been within my sphere of interest, although I'm coming around to it.
Can any of you tell me more about these recent pickups?
Thanks very much,
Bob.

All are very nice authentic pieces.
The double screwpost Ek1 is a great pickup. Too bad the backingplate and one
nut is missing but still SWEET. The Ek1 marked KO is one of the most common
crosses and was probably an actual awarded piece. (The 2 post cross would
most likely a private pruchase item.) The other Ek1 was most likely made in
the 1920s-30s.
The 1870-71 cross is the service medal for the Franco-Prussion war. Kind
of the " I was there" award.
Very nice start to an Imperial collection.:thumbup1:

nice pick ups bob!
To elaborate on what Greg ssaid, the Franco Prussian medal is a steel medal,on a non combatant ribbon.

Greg, Scott....Thanks so much for the information!
Which of the EK1's is the one that is marked "KO"? I don't seem to see that marking.....
I'm also curious about the EKII, because of the different dates....It has 1813 and 1870, rather than the 1914 date. What would be the background of that one?
Thanks very much,
Bob.

The flat pin back Ek1 appears to be marked "KO". You can just see the "K"
in the image posted just under the catch.
Scott is right about the 1870 Ek2. That is a great example.:thumbup1: Nicer than
any of mine.

The 1870 cross is a tough bird to find considering that the are even replicating them!
