The Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) Service has a database – the Scientific and Technical Information Network (STINET) – with many monographs produced by military staff college students under the tutelage of college professors, as well as studies produced by various defense analysis agencies. Apart from having interesting subjects, the studies provide good examples of how to critically analyze battles, operations, and military forces (note: each study should be evaluated for its accuracy and bias).
