There are a lot of WWII US Army unit association web pages on the Internet. Few have primary source material. Here are some I have found:

General:
Overviews from the US Army Center for Military History:
Combat Chronicles of U.S. Army Divisions in World War II: http://www.history.army.mil/html/forcestruc/cbtchron/cbtchron.html
Order of Battle of the US Army, WWII, European Theater of Operations, Divisions: http://www.history.army.mil/documents/ETO-OB/ETOOB-TOC.htm

WW II Digital Archive of the History Dept at California State University:
http://recordsarchive.csufresno.edu/index.htm

Divisions:
5th Armored Division: http://www.5ad.org
7th Armored Division: http://www.7tharmddiv.org
39th Infantry Division: http://www.30thinfantry.org/index2.shtml
44th Infantry Division: http://efour4ever.com/44thdivision/home.html

Beware, like the rest of us, unit associations have their biases. Evaluate the content as you would any other source of historical material.

Help build this thread! If you know of any web pages with primary historical material of use to researchers; then post it here, and I will aggregate the all input (with due credit).
