Here is my only LW dagger. I bought it from the nephew of an American vet who brought home a varied assortment of items.

I suppose if you are going to have one, then you try and get a nice one and I like this.

Diden't know you were a dagger lover Raymond. When I started to collect I only bought daggers. My first one -which I still own- was a late war Arthur Everts HJ knife with zinc plated fittings. I have one Near Mint Luftwaffe dagger -also a Höller- in my collection and a stone mint first model Luftwaffe in aluminium. besides that I collect SA daggers, armies and Kriegsmarine.

Nice sir! I have always like the 2nd with the springy grip wire. There was a thread over at GD a few years back discussing what collectors perceived as the "ugliest" dagger. Hands down, the 2nd Luft was voted as the ugliest piece.

I disagree. It's not my favorite, but it's certainly not the ugliest. I think it has kind of nice lines.

Very nice 2nd Luftwaffe dagger Raymond. I don't know why some poeple think these are ugly looking daggers. They contain a lot of detail, especially to the crossguard and pommels between the different manufacturers, much more so than the Army dagger for example.
