Private Purchase SS Ring - Norge 1940

Here is a ring that I have had some time and I really like the workmanship.

It is engraved inside with 'A.N - Stavanger'

Ray, a well known and rare pattern private purchase ring.. A fine original with the correct markings and period engraving for the Costal Artillery post where most arrived. This was actually made after the 1940 date as there were no SS there at the time. But afterwards SS men seeing the Heer and Luft. styles wanted there own. If you look closely you'll see the tooling for the ring was modified from the Heer pattern to the SS.. Very nice piece!
