Hi Chaps
I thought I would share this item with you from my collection. I am really fond of this. It is a homemade rememberance item for a soldier who was lost in Stalingrad (1941/1942)
What I like about this is that not only is it unusual, but it is a piece that makes you wonder why it was housed in a fake book to be put away on a bookshelf.
I can only imagine that it was to hide the fact and another collector suggested that the owner will probably have lived in post-war East Germany
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do
Raymond
