The Ost medal is one of my favourite designs of any Third Reich award and is up there with the DKiG for beauty. It is such a well designed medal.

I like this award too, including the name that the troops gave it: Frozen Flesh Award. The one that I have is not in the condition as yours, however, mine is mounted on a medal bar and I have the stickpin for it, although it is the smaller of the two scales.

Hi, nice examples of this beautiful medal. It is also one of my favourites. I have one with "127" stamped on the ring, but I am unhappy with the skew numbers on the rear as can be seen in the photo. Could this be a copy? Regards Thomas
