I recently purchased a set of documents to a Bordfunker and DKiG holder who flew exclusively with 2.(F)/Aufklarungsgruppe 122.

I am now attempting to dot the i's and cross the t's before I work out a suitable way to display the group.

I am trying to locate some quality scans of:

Generalmajor Fritz Koehler RKT

Oberstleutnant Roman Schneider DKiG

Leutnant Kurt Eulenberger DKiG

Should anyone be able to help I shall be extremely grateful.

Hopeful in anticipation.

Regards Richard.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your post and congratulations on your new acquisition. I am certain the forum would love to see the materials.

Perhaps a silly question, but are you looking for scans of the men's images, or of their signatures to compare with the documents?

Cheers,

Mike

Mike

When I finalise the format of how I shall be displaying the group I shall indeed post some images on here.

There are 25 documents in the grouping and contains 2 Kesselring (Diamonds) signatures , 4 Kohler (RKT) Signatures, Kastner (DKiS) signature & Schneider (DKiG) signature. I have no doubt whatsoever as to the originality of the signatures however, I have still to locate an image of Schneider and also Eulenberger, who although did not sign any docs in the group, was the recipients pilot and is referred to on a qualification document.

It is a nice group and I am hopeful that I can obtain a few more images of the signatories before the formatting is finalised.

Regards Richard.

Hi Richard,

I hope your project is otherwise progressing nicely. I checked the Heinrich Hoffmann photo archive at NARA and I regret that there is no imagery of your men.

Good luck,

Mike

Hi Mike

I genuinly appreciate your efforts in trying to locate images of these 3 men. Many thanks indeed.

These are the final pieces before I format a display really. I will be posting the whole group here on WWM when it is finished, for all to see (and hopefully enjoy)

If in the meantime anyone should be able to help then it will be very well received.

Regards Richard.

I have managed to find the following pieces of information on Schneider and Eulenberger:

Oberst Roman Schneider DKiG 01 March 1943 (Oberst 19 Nov 1944), Major Aug 1939, Obstlt 20 Mar 1943)

Leutnant Kurt Eulenberger DKiG 04 January 1943

Still looking for portrait photographs of these 2 men and also RKT Fritz Kohler and any information at all concerning them accordingly.

Regards Richard.

This is a final call for anyone who can help in providing any images of the Luftwaffe personnel listed.

I have re-scanned all 25 documents in the group and am just gathering images of the signatories prior to displaying the group on this forum.

Should any images be forthcoming, it would certainly help complete the display for this group.

Hopeful in anticipation.

Regards Richard.

As promised, the entire grouping of 24 documents and additional research has now been posted on the 'Collectors Showcase' http://worldwarmilitaria.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4508

I hope that this will prove to be of interest.

Regards Richard.
