Hello everyone, I have been provided some photos of a political visor selling on a popular auction site. The owner has given permission to share the photos for discussion. Here is the auction link:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&item=160292418394
Here are the photos.

Photographs can only give one limited information. There is no substitute for a hands on examination. That said, I do not see any red flags with this piece. It appears to be a nice original period example. The seller's "Buy It Now" price is a little out of touch with reality in my opinion

Unfortunately the auction site pulled the sell. The seller indicated his asking price was 660 pounds, shipping included. I have encouraged him to join the forum and offer the visor for sell on this site. I have his email address and have been permitted to share it but will not do so unless I receive a PM. Disclaimer: I do not know this seller, nor do I have anything to gain from the sell of his property. My desire is to share with members of this forum.

660 GPB currently = $1141. That is way too much for this cap IMO. You can get one for less on many dealers' sites.

saw this cap on ebay and contacted the seller managed to get him down to £475 which is just over $800 but this is still too much have been well informed that you can pick one up for £350-400 without much trouble
