EK1 cased & cartoned

This one arrived today.

A cased and cartoned S&L EK1.

The pin is stamped '4' on the pin.

Looks like a wound badge has been kept in the case as some time.

Also with the award came a newspaper clipping which I will hopefuly have translated this weekend. Unless anyone can help!!

Very nice Cased EK 1 from S&L in outer cartoned .

Just a little further translation - he was an ordnance officer, found himself in charge of a company. Had to re-take a lost village (or some sort of position). Re-took it with 35 men, and reinforced a position despite heavy enemy fire.
