As this is a real time forum, things can move quickly and you may wish to reference a previous post a member has made.
So that members know what you are referring to, and to save your time, you can simply 'quote' them.
So, you will see under their post the button for 'quote'
Simply click on quote and this will open the text page with the text of that member included.
You can then add your comments and click on the submit post button.
It can be useful sometimes to add a title if you have a question about the post, but not always necessary.
In addition, you may only wish to refer to a small section and so it is better that you just delete the rest.
Below is the example of how it will appear when you have quoted someone in your new post
